Heru Opens Jakarta Province 27th STQ

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, opened the 27th Jakarta Province Level Tilawatil Qur'an Selection (STQ) which took place at the West Jakarta Mayor's Office Complex, Monday (12/5).

The STQ, which takes place from December 5-9, 2022 was attended by 185 participants from the city/district level Tilawatil Qur'an Development Institute (LPTQ).

There were four branches or 10 groups of men and women that are contested at this STQ. Each branch consists of recitations of the Quranic Tilawah (recital), Quranic Hifzil (reflection), Al-Qu'ran Reading, and Hadith.

"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (in the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful), today I officially open the 27th Jakarta Province Level STQ," he expressed.

Jakarta LPTQ Chairman, Muhammad Ali uttered that the participants were registered through an electronic-based registration system (e-MTQ) as it is done at the national level.

After independent verification, it was stated that 185 people had been accepted as participants from the city and district level LPTQ.

He added the champion would receive a prize in the form of a trophy and coaching money.

"Hopefully, the competition will create the best cadres to represent Jakarta Province at the National Level STQ 2023 in Jambi," he hoped.
